Boise Daily Photo Keeps Chugging Along

Debbie Courson Smith is a photographer, a morning co-host on a Boise radio station, a master gardener . . .  oh, and she has found the time to keep Boise Daily Photo going as a blog since March 20, 2008 and as a very active companion Facebook page.  Beyond that, Debbie has an active personal Google+ page and from time to time a gardening page.  Whew!

Congratulations, Debbie.  Keep 'em all going!

Susie of Arabia Has Explained Saudi Life As An American Woman For Ten Years

On March 2, 2008, Susie of Arabia began Jeddah Daily Photo.  Six months earlier this American woman had moved to Saudi Arabia with her Saudi husband and a teenage son.  Susie provides us with fascinating insights about living in a very, very different environment from the one where she grew up.  Want to see where Saudi women buy their abayas?  Here:

Congratulations, Susie, for ten successful years as a City Daily Photo blogger!

Violet.  Indigo.  Blue.  Green. Yellow.  Orange. Red.

Then again, there are Black, Gray, Brown and White.

Fuchsia?  Mauve?  Vermilion?  Chili?

On April 1 the City Daily Photo bloggers will show photographs dominated by a single color.  Which color will yours be?

Ten Years for Our Portal Administrator (And Sunshine Coast Daily Photo)

What can we in the City Daily Photo community say about Peter Hyndman?  Second only to Eric Tenen of the now-closed Paris Daily Photo, Peter is THE MAN in the CDP community.  The original CDP portal crashed several years ago.  No problem.  Even though not a tech guy at the time, Peter taught himself how to cobble together a new portal, which he continues to maintain today.  (Don't look behind the curtain . . . Band-Aids and chewing gum are holding it together.)  And he pays for the Linky and all the other costs out of his own pocket.

Why?  Because Peter likes taking photographs and showing them.  The Queensland (Australia) Sunshine Coast Shires of Noosa and Maroochy merged with Caloundra City on March 15th 2008, so on that day Peter started Sunshine Coast Daily Photo.  Ten years without interruption, even though Peter and his wife spend most summers aboard a boat traversing European rivers and canals.  (Give yourself a treat and visit Fading Memories each summer.)

Peter, we are in your debt.  THANK YOU!

Small City Scenes of Stanwood Hits a Decade

A couple of weeks ago "MB" hit a decade of publication of her "Small City of Stanwood" City Daily Photo blog.  MB lives in Stanwood, Washington, "up near the tree farm." She has horses, ponies, dogs, cats and plenty of fresh air.  Over the past decade, MB has shown us life in her quiet, small rural home town.  Recurring features are photos of the eagles that roost in her town.

Congratulations, MB.

Actually, it will probably be first on Facebook, or Twitter, or maybe you'll hear about it from the nice old guy next door. Whatever the case, if you have news to share, how about sharing it with us, so we can share it with everyone and actually make these pages useful?
